R. K. Thorne
From romantasy to space opera, R. K. Thorne weaves optimistic tales of enemies who turn to lovers, traumatized characters who find their hidden power, and moonlit rebels who question authority.
Running D&D campaigns as a dungeon master has filled her stories with expansive, intricate worlds, mythic high stakes, multiple diverse points of view, and frequent amusing banter.
Her strong, competent heroines fall for honorable, tortured heroes who are tough on the outside but secretly sweet on the inside. (They usually fall at the most inconvenient times.)
She loves writing realistic, tender, slow-burn romances between equal partners who fight side by side as a fierce, unstoppable team. She also really loves the autumn and has way too many books set in that time of year.
When not coming up with ways to flip-reverse her favorite tropes, she’s nurturing her garden, her houseplants, her children, her dog, her tarot cards, her crystals, and her husband-supported coffee obsession. She likes to think that she and her husband also make a formidable team, in life and in video games.
